Casual Varsity Chic!

What's up fashion friends?

Are you all having a great weekend?  Mine is going well.  Today I went to a 1 yr old birthday party.  I thought it was going to be the the typical children's birthday party with the obnoxious kids screaming and either pizza or no food for the adults at all.  Boy was I wrong.  I don't know when the last time I had that much fun at a child's party.  There was delicious food, great to see old faces I haven't seen in a while, pony rides, professional photographers taking pics and printing them out (for free!).  It was actually fun.

Well...a few weeks ago while thrifting, I bumped into this Varsity Cardigan.  I knew I saw something similar on one of my fellow bloggers posts.  Then it came to me where I saw it,  It was Jen from Blank White Frames.  I immediately snatched it up and was inspired to put together a similar outfit.

Now Jen is a cute and tiny diva and I am a curvy chick so naturally I have to be careful with skinnies...lol.  I will admit, I struggle with putting together simple casual looks so needless to say I was happy to find this cardigan.

It was a beautiful but chilly day in the DMV and I decided to pull the cardi out.  I figured it would come in handy in the shady areas.  I thought it was gonna be a while before I was able to wear it.  Today was perfect...I knew my day would carry into the evening and it would get more chilly.

Cardigan & Skinnies: Thrifted $5 total     Shoes: Jessica Simpson Niki    Tee & Belt: Target
My girl LA Lynn made me buy the shoes because she so fiercely rocks the same sandal in brown.
I was going back and forth with buying them and when I saw hers I said...SOLD! lol
Also the fabulous Reiko rocks out the hot pink...gorgeous!

As always, I appreciate every last one of you who take the time to stop by
and really really appreciate  all of you who comment! Thank you !!!

Stay fly and stay tuned.

  4. I really like the way you've toned down the preppy a bit with the leopard print and the heel of those shoes!! Oh man, I'd be 7 feet tall if I wore those, and I'd fall down. That would not be very fly!
