BFSC: Silk Flowers

Happy Friday!

The HEAT won last night!  YES!!!
I root for all teams New York but I wanted LeBron to get that monkey off his back.  I'm happy for him, D Wade and the rest of them...even Juwon Howard.

Congrats to the Miami Heat and all the Miami Fans!
I wish I was in South Beach to party with you all!

This is gonna be a great weekend.  I am on tap for some retail therapy in my home city...
the great NYC!  Yayyyy!!!  I am hoping to get some pics in...we will see.  I am a bad blogger when it comes to that.  I will try my best.

Today's installment for Jasifer's Big Fat Summer Challenge is to mark something I wouldn't normally wear off the list.  The funny thing about this challenge is that a few thing that I wouldn't normally wear was already on the list.  So I had to find something else.  The good thing is that with my style evolution since the inception of this blog, that list is getting smaller.  Woohoo!

Printed or floral pants/jeans is something I normally wouldn't wear.

And another one down!

I didn't wear printed pants before because I thought my thighs were to 'voLUMPtous' to bring any attention to them.  Well, I am over it and I better be because short shorts are up next I think...lol.

I recently thifted these silk floral pants for $5 I almost let them go but I said to myself "Why not?"
because the floral print is trending big time.  Then I thought it went perfectly with this top I thrifted some time ago.  I am pretty sure it was less than $5 (I have a hard time spending more than $5 on a piece...lol)  I was going for the jumpsuit look.  A few folks at work thought it was and I was like...YES!!! LOL

I paired the silk flowers with an also thrifted tangerine silk button-up shirt for some color.
This shirt can also be see here.

Woop woop! I can't say it enough how grateful I am for starting this blog and gaining some great inspiration from my fellow bloggers.  It has really given me the umph I needed in my personal style!

The Fit:
All clothing items thirfted!
Shoes: Michael Antonio
Belt: Target
random accessories

Thanks for stopping by.
Stay fly and stay tuned!

  6. I love the print on the pants. Sometimes big prints can be scary but this print is too chic for words.
